Irish Acres Pet Health was born from a mutual love of dogs and a dedication to helping pets regain and maintain optimal health through proper diet, nutrition and natural supplements! Irish Acres is owned by Dana and John Bourassa, whose top priority is to bring you healthy choices of food and natural health care for your pets.

Dana:  I have been involved with dogs for over fifteen years and became intensely aware of the health problems that were all too common when I became involved in rescue work. I was Wisconsin Coordinator for Rescue a Golden of Minnesota for two years and then founded and was the first President of Golden Retriever Rescue of Wisconsin until 2004. During that time, over seventy-five percent of the dogs that came into rescue had health issues that could have been prevented. In the last six years John and I have taken in a steady stream of dogs with major health problems and I became convinced that there had a more natural way of helping them other than shots and pills! I began my exploration of natural health care with my "golden oldie" Mutley who had cluster seizures, which we were able to significantly help with acupuncture treatments. With each foster that came to us we continued to research and learn alternative, natural modalities to help them using all-natural raw diet, supplements and therapeutic essential oils. Today my burning passion is to share this information with those seeking a more natural method to help their pets and prevent serious health issues.  Dana is a member of: International Association of Canine Professionals (IACP) and Association of Pet Dog Trainers (APDT).

John:  John is the other friendly voice you will hear if you call! He is instrumental in helping to continue our mission, which started with our first foster dog, Buddy, by helping with all aspects of the business. John often does the long distance deliveries, inventory control and manages all the four-legged "kids" when I am gone for a class or seminar.
